Actor Andrew Garrettson talks about his role in the new series "Just Business".

Andrew Garrettson speaks out on his role of Terry "Twos" Taparello, Portland, Oregon, and things to come in the first season!

What is this new series about?

Vinnie Caparzo is young soldier rapidly working his way up the ranks in an organized crime family. Based in Portland, OR, 'Just Business' looks at the ordinary lives of some not-so ordinary characters. Although sometimes a job is more than just a job, and all of our actions have consequences, we shouldn't take everything too seriously. After all, it's 'Just Business'.

Explain your character for the adoring fans?

Twos is the complete opposite of Mik. He is the sage of the group; the dispenser of wisdom and voice of reason. He's unnervingly calm most of the time, which makes it that much more terrifying when he does get angry. He's observant, cunning, intelligent, and one very cool customer. He's definitely from the old school, and lives by a code. He values the loyalty of his friends and boss, but doesn't trust them completely because he knows that, at any moment, he might have to turn of them if necessary, and they might could do the same. He's definitely looking out for #1 at all times, but understands the significance of having someone watching his back. He knows the best way to earn loyalty and respect is to give it. He indulges Mik's fantasy of being #2 even though he knows he provides Saul with the wisest counsel and is the most logical choice to take over the family if something were to happen to the Boss.

How has it been to work with the other cast so far?

Everyone has been fantastic and an absolute blast. I'm excited to see what everyone does with their characters. Each actor is perfect for his role, and everyone's got chops. But if I didn't know how funny and easy going we all were, and only saw us on camera, I'd be scared shitless of this group.

Is this role challenging for you? Anything that stands out?

I've played bad guys a lot, so that's not really the hard part. I'm looking forward to seeing all the layers of each character revealed, including mine, and how the relationships evolve amongst the varying personalities. But so far, the hardest part has been to stop smiling when we the DP calls 'Action'.

Word has it that it's being filmed in Portland, Oregon. How does that tie into the storyline?

Portland's got lots of great locations to shoot, including some highly recognizable ones. Unbeknownst to probably most of the world, it's a real city, and an old one, too, with dirty alleys, underground tunnels, crumbling brick buildings, and modern glass ones. Not to mention we're at the confluence of 2 major rivers, which has created very distinct zones in the geography. Plus, while our show is definitely under the typical Italian mafia genre, we've got a Jewish family head, with an Irish #2 capo. "They's integrated, Pappy!"

We've heard there's going to be some gorgeous women on set. Any truth to this?

I don't know anything about that, but I'll keep my eyes peeled.

How did you land this role?

I think it was the grey in my beard, and that I wore a vest & fedora to the audition.

Any shout outs?

Troy being so super cool and generous in a time of need, Zigzag for the amazing motivation, my dad because when he sees this he's be really in to it, and of course my amazingly sexy and deeply loving girlfriend Julie.
